Tyriq Butler is just trying to survive his tiny cursed hometown and maybe pay rent without selling his soul at the Candy Factory. Easy, right? Wrong. Add a creepy VHS tape, a final boy turned monster named Alister Carrow, and suddenly your movie night is literally eating you alive.

Tyriq’s idea of comfort? Bad horror movies, popcorn, and arguing with his friends Ronnika and Dre about whether Claw It, Chrome is iconic or trash. (It’s iconic. Obviously.)

But when Tyriq presses play on a mysterious tape, he doesn’t just watch the film—he gets dropped straight into it and immediately attracts Alister’s attention.

Now the monster is in the real world, the body count is rising, and Tyriq is about to learn that being “the final boy’s favorite person” is not a safe position to be in.
