A Diverse Sleepy Hollow Retelling

This Is The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow Reborn…

In a small town hidden behind the hills of New York, things are far from ordinary. As Sleepy Hollow’s youngest Medical Examiner, the pressure intensifies for Dr. Drusilla Van Tassel when the headless bodies of her sister Katrina’s friends start surfacing. Meanwhile, Drusilla’s ex-lover Ichabod Crane returns to town, dredging up feelings better left buried.

Things take a turn for the worst when Drusilla comes face-to-face with the Headless Horseman, who is back to settle old scores – and she and her sister are the perfect targets. Drusilla can repel the horseman with an unknown power, but her sister isn’t so lucky, and she goes missing.

However, when Drusilla discovers Ichabod is a monster hunter, she has no other choice but to turn to him for help. Even if that means working with a man she feels an inexplicable attraction to. Will they find Katrina and banish the headless horseman once and for all?

“Come on, I’ll take you to the hospital.”

The strength of Saundra’s grip bit into her arm, her nails digging into Drusilla’s skin. “You have to help me!”

“I’m trying,” Drusilla pleaded. “Just let me just get you in the car.”

She pushed her towards the car, but suddenly, the sound of clomping hooves rang out through the night air, and Saundra shook.

“Oh god, it’s him!” the other woman sobbed.

Drusilla ran to the car, practically dragging a struggling Saundra over to the passenger seat, and shoved the woman inside. Then she dashed to the driver’s side, slamming her door closed when she spotted a shadow in the trees. It was clearly an enormous man on horseback, just out of reach of the Lincoln’s high beams. In the moonlight, she could make out the absence of a head and the ax in his hands.

Her own hands shaking, Drusilla put the keys in the ignition, but the engine spluttered and went dead.

“Shit!” Drusilla slammed her hands on the steering wheel.

“W-we’re going to die, aren’t we?” Saundra stuttered.

“No, the fuck we’re not!”

A piercing, high-pitched screech made Drusilla jump. Then suddenly, the passenger’s side door was ripped off its hinges. Drusilla screamed as Saundra was jerked out of the car. She snatched her phone and scrambled after the poor woman just in time for an ax to fall. Saundra’s head tumbled off her shoulders onto the ground. Her body slumped forward as blood pooled around her.

Time appeared to slow down for Drusilla as she turned and came face to face with the manifestation of her worst nightmare. The Horseman stood eerily still beside Saundra’s headless corpse. Its two-headed battle ax glimmered in the moonlight. A few feet away, Drusilla spotted the Horseman’s white steed, patiently waiting for its master.
