NEVER EVER DO BACK TO BACK BOOK LAUNCHES.
Getting a book out into the world, be it traditional or self-publishing. This crap is hard, and it’s both physically and emotionally draining. I’m going to keep it real with you: I’m not publishing another book until the new year.
My plan is to do six books in a single year: 3 short stories and 3 novellas. It’s ambitious as hell and I might not get everything I had planned out this year, but I’m going to damn well try. I really want to stop right here to thank everyone who showed up and showed out for my book launches.
I am so touched and overwhelmed at the outpouring of support for me. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you!
And now that my book is out, and I rested a bit I’m moving on to the next story. I tried to right one of my novella projects for NaNoWriMo and I crashed and burned. I probably won’t attempt to do another NaNoWriMo event even though I still use their website to keep track of my daily word counts.
As we move into the New Year, my schedule will change. Thanks to the FDA and the CDC approving COVID-19 vaccinations for years 5-11. My 5-year-old and 6-year-old have gotten their first shot and will get the second shot later this month. This means that I can finally hang up my ‘Homeschool Teacher’ hat and send them back to school.
So for the first time in my career, I will have a full day to write and edit my projects. Hopefully, this means my productivity will improve. Unfortunately, these last two years I have been dealing with yo-yoing mental health and that has also hampered my writing time.
I’m hoping with my getting the booster soon and my kids going back to school that my mental health will be more steady. And as for the rest of my 2022 plans?
I’m currently working on a hot and steamy Erotica that I’m hoping to drop in late January or early February. So keep your eyes peeled for when all that drops.
